LAKE BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS – February 9, 2009 – Barrington Software Inc. announced that Front Porch, a support system for a family of non-profit retirement communities, is implementing CookenPro software in its California communities.
Lois Y King, RD, Vice President, Nutrition and Dining Services is “pleased that staff can now provide important nutritional information to residents and their families” and Catherine Heindel, Technology Manager is “very glad that Barrington Software is partnering with Front Porch to implement the software.”
Barrington Software is providing two days of on-site training for each community as well as assistance in setting up a database of nutritionally analyzed recipes. The first day of training focuses on recipes, menus and nutritional analysis and the second day on inventory control, purchasing, and receiving. Staff at The Alhambra, Casa de Manama, Claremont Manor, Fredericka Manor, Sunny View, Vista Del Monte, Carlsbad by the Sea, Kingsley Manor, and Villa Gardens, appreciate the ease of importing order guides and ordering inventory. Everyone is looking forward to bringing Walnut Manor on board in July.
CookenPro’s extensive import and export capabilities allow the communities to share and exchange recipes and menus while tailoring the recipes and menus to the preferences of each. When a menu exported from CookenPro is imported into another CookenPro desktop application, all the recipes in the menu are also imported along with the nutritional and cost analysis of the recipes and the menu.
