Users can schedule catering events and sub events, send the events to an outlook calendar, and use advanced search capabilities to find events.   Invoice customers, schedule staff, and use the many reports to monitor events and customer billing.  Unlike most other catering packages, BSI Cater is interfaced with our own back-office application, CookenPro.

By interfacing with CookenPro, the package can Lower Food Costs by providing reports that monitor costs and track shrinkage (loss). Users can Save Time and Money by ordering automatically, based on par and from the lowest bid vendor, so a minimum of inventory is maintained.  Receive the inventory with a hand-held device and import the counts.   Send information to a QuickBooks company file; Barrington supports FIFO and LIFO accounting.  With this interface software tools, including Menu Engineering, that ranks menu items by popularity and profitability to set the best menu prices, are available.  Use an easy Nutritional Analysis tool for recipes and menus and even create Nutritional Labels.

BSI Cater is also interfaced with Room Viewer, Microsoft Excel, and Paint for the purpose of allowing users to open one of those programs, create a room diagram for a catering event and drop that diagram in to BSI Cater.
